Job Description
We are in search of a Shop Tech Supervisor to join our team located in Sydney. This role is integral to our industry as it involves scheduling technicians to complete repair orders, estimating repair costs, and communicating with customers. The Shop Tech Supervisor will also work closely with the shop parts tech to ensure necessary parts are available and assist with customer service when needed.
- Scheduling technicians to complete repair orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Estimating the hours and costs involved in repairs
- Communicating effectively with customers about the work needed and the associated costs
- Resolving issues that arise with technicians in a professional and timely manner
- Ensuring technicians stay focused and on task
- Collaborating with the shop parts tech to ensure necessary parts are available for work
- Assisting service writer with handling overflow of phone calls
- Helping customers with their inquiries, as well as handling pick up and drop off
- Ensuring safety guidelines are adhered to and enforced within the workplace.
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a shop or retail environment
- Prior experience with account reconciliation and managing accounts payable (AP) and receivable (AR)
- Proficiency in billing procedures and invoice processing
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness in handling financial transactions
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
